About Town

Cushman's

In 1945, Ed Cushman opened a small fruit store in West Palm Beach specializing in Honeybell Oranges, a rare natural hybrid of Dancy Tangerine and Duncan Grapefruit. When the Cushman family decided to renovate their original 1945 building they, of course, were looking to advertise their produce. Talin met their needs and brightened the old building in ways not imagined. The whole industrial look of the building was changed into a friendlier, more colorful, and inviting store. The building is now a landmark that attracts locals and visitors alike with its brightly painted fruit and blossoms, drawing even more customers than before.

Village Grille

The Village Grille has been in operation as a bar since the 40's. When the owners decided to turn the bar into a chic restaurant, they wanted a fresher, friendlier, tropical look that made the building stand out from its surroundings while also blending in. Talin's bright tropical flowers around the front door and a border at the roof line more than met these criteria by capturing an eye-catching look that, at once, blends with the nearby palms.

Olde River Mural

When "Rio Vista" architect renovated his historic home on the Olde River, he wanted to keep the original old Florida style of the house. In his circular kitchen, he wanted a painting depicting the river around the time when the house was built.

Working from photos of the old river and paintings from history books, Talin produced this magnificent mural on the domed ceiling and circular walls.

Mack's Grove

Mack's Groves, long a Fort Lauderdale landmark, wanted something that was complimentary to the wide array of products their store offers. Talin's colorful mural depicting a variety of fruits and blossoms now makes the building is now recognizable from any direction. The mere scale of the flowers and fruits is monumental and can be seen from the intracoastal bridge!
